Paywalled content includes 1) subscriber-only articles 2) wine reviews 3) the site’s searchable database of wine reviews and 4) certain other content, such as harvest summaries, growing season summaries, growing season markers, and appellation information. Access to this content requires a subscription.
What are the different subscription types at Northwest Wine Report?
Northwest Wine Report has three subscription types: Consumer, Commercial, and Enterprise. Each subscription type renews automatically.
All three provide access to 1) subscriber-only articles 2) newly-published, blind-tasted wine reviews 3) a web-searchable database of previously published reviews and 4) other subscriber-only content. This content is not otherwise available to non-subscribers.
What is a Consumer subscription?
Consumer subscriptions are for personal use only. No commercial use is permitted. Content may not be used or shared for commercial purposes. This includes publicly on email, social media, websites, physical collateral, or through other forms of communication. Consumer subscriptions include a single account for use by one individual.
What is a Commercial subscription?
Commercial subscriptions are intended for wineries, distributors, retailers, PR companies, and other trade members who use the site for commercial purposes. Users with commercial subscriptions may republish for commercial purposes limited content via email, social media, websites, physical collateral, or other forms of communication. Commercial subscriptions include accounts for use by up to three individuals at the same organization. Commercial subscribers may republish no more than 200 individual ratings and reviews and 50 reviews from any single article.
What is an Enterprise subscription?
Enterprise subscriptions are for members of the wine industry that require a larger number of accounts than are allowed with a Commercial subscription. Enterprise subscriptions include accounts for use by up to six individuals at the same organization. Enterprise subscribers may republish no more than 400 individual ratings and reviews and 50 reviews from any single article.
What subscription type should public relations agencies sign up for?
If the public relations company will be responsible for commercial activities regarding promoting ratings and reviews for wineries that they work with, they should sign up for a Commercial or Enterprise subscription.
If I am a winery, do I need to subscribe to Northwest Wine Report to receive and use ratings and reviews for my wines?
No. Wineries do not need to subscribe to Northwest Wine Report to receive or use ratings and reviews. You will be notified via email when reviews of your wines have been published. To receive a copy of the reviews, whether you subscribe or not, either respond to the notification email or contact [email protected]. Please allow two weeks for reviews to be sent via email after they have been requested.
Does Northwest Wine Report offer student discounts or discounts for the elderly?

I am a subscriber. Can I share my account with other people?
No. Consumer subscriptions are restricted to use by a single individual. Commercial subscriptions include accounts for use by up to three individuals at the same organization. Enterprise subscriptions include accounts for use by up to six individuals at the same organization. Account login and password information cannot be shared with other individuals for any of the subscription types.
I work at Winery A and have a Commercial/Enterprise subscription. Can I use one of my accounts for someone at Winery B?
No. Commercial and Enterprise accounts are for individuals at the same organization.
I work at a winery and have a Commercial/Enterprise subscription. Can I use one of my accounts for someone at the PR company that I work with?
No. Commercial and Enterprise accounts are for individuals at the same organization.
I have a Commercial/Enterprise account. How do I set up sub-accounts?
To set up sub-accounts (only available for Commercial and Enterprise subscriptions), go to My Account -> Subscriptions -> Sub Accounts -> Add Sub Account. Enter in the required information.
Does Northwest Wine Report sell or share subscriber information to others?
No. We do not sell or share subscriber information or use subscriber information beyond ways outlined in our Privacy Policy.
