Tasting room expected to open in summer of 2026
Bledsoe Family Winery has broken ground on a new tasting room in Walla Walla Valley. The tasting room is expected to open next summer.
“Our downtown space in Walla Walla, we’ve just outgrown it,” says Josh McDaniels, CEO, director of winemaking, and partner at Bledsoe Wine Estates, the parent company of Bledsoe Family Winery. The company was founded by former NFL quarterback and Walla Walla native Drew Bledsoe and his wife Maura.
The tasting room will be located south of downtown on Peppers Bridge Road across from Valdemar Estates. It will have views of the Blue Mountains as well as of a surrounding vineyard.
“You’re in a vineyard, and it’s a beautiful location,” says McDaniels.
The Bledsoe Family Winery tasting room will be modestly sized at approximately 2,700-square feet. It will have ample outdoor space and will be surrounded by three barn-like structures that will serve as private tasting rooms as well as office and storage space.
Bledsoe Family Winery, which also has a tasting room in Bend, has been leasing a tasting room downtown. However, the space is small, and parking is limited. Both issues will be addressed by the new location.
McDaniels says that the winery strongly considered opening a tasting room
